Barcode Equipment Warranty Services
Since 1986,System ID has provided warranty service on barcode equipment. Warranty service is an affordable way to ensure maximum uptime and extended life for your barcode equipment. It includes preventative maintenance to extend the life of your equipment, repair and replacement services should a unit fail, and extensive technical support to troubleshoot problems as they happen. We offer warranty plans of varying lengths, and will cover both new and used products.
The ID Direct barcode equipment warranty service comes in three levels:
Standard Plan
The ID Direct Standard Plan is perfect for businesses with multiple units or backup units that can assume the tasks of their failing barcode equipment. If any malfunction should occur, ID Direct will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA), allowing you to send in your unit for repair. ID Direct will diagnose and repair the unit, and ship the unit free of charge once repairs are completed. The Standard Plan provides 7 to 10 day turnaround for any equipment failure. Tracking information will be provided for return shipment.
Overnight Plan
The ID Direct Overnight Plan is ideal for businesses that depend on constant levels of production, but do not have redundancy of equipment to cover shortages. If you experience a product failure, ID Direct will send a temporary replacement unit (of equal or higher quality) via overnight shipping. We will issue an RMA for the malfunctioning unit and return the product once repair is complete, usually within 7 to 10 days. Upon return of the repaired unit, another RMA will be issued for the temporary unit to be returned. All shipping costs on the temporary replacement unit are included in our Overnight Plans.
Comprehensive Plan
The ID Direct Comprehensive Plan is ideal for businesses that depend upon constant levels of production with the desire to avoid all unexpected repair costs, The comprehensive plan gives the assurance of no unexpected repair expenditures, whether the unit fails in the normal course of business or the employee accidentally breaks the unit. For any failure, ID Direct will send a temporary replacement unit (of equal or higher quality) via overnight shipping. We will issue an RMA for the broken unit and return the product once repair is complete, usually within 7 to 10 days. Upon return of the repaired unit, another RMA will issued for the temporary unit to be returned. All shipping costs on the temporary replacement unit are in included in our Comprehensive Plan.
Preventative Maintenance
To prolong the life of your products, we offer preventative maintenance as part of both of these plans. Every six months we will:
- Replace all worn belt drives
- Inspect all wearable parts
- Clean print heads
- Calibrate and adjust settings (as necessary)
- Detail the product
