NAURTECH SMART CLIENT CE5250 FOR WINDOWS CE
Naurtech CE5250 is an IBM 5250 terminal emulation application that allows access to data and business applications running on AS/400 midrange servers. Users can remotely access these applications using a Windows CE/Pocket PC handheld device, over a wireless or wired IP data network.
To aid companies undergoing a "legacy to web" conversion, CE5250 also allows simultaneous HTML sessions as part of its integrated ADC Browser. As you "web face" your host applications running on AS/400 servers, you can get seamless migration from green screen to HTML sessions using CE5250.
If you have applications running on an AS/400, you probably access these today using either a 5250 terminal or emulation application. You can extend access of these applications from a Windows CE/Pocket PC handheld device, over a wireless 802.11x WLAN or WWAN network using Naurtech CE5250.
IT professionals can now support their users using a handheld device such as a Compaq iPAQ to access their mainframe accounts. Production workflows can be optimized by accessing the 5250 application from a handheld terminal.
