Seagull Scientific's BarTender Professional Edition has all of BarTender's most powerful label design features. It has most of the advanced data access capabilities, including OLE DB and ODBC. It has Printer Maestro, but it only manages network printers visible to the local PC. The Professional Edition is fully network compatible, but not optimized for control by other software. The licensing is based on the number of workstations running BarTender, regardless of whether or not they are on a common network.
The Professional Edition does not offer ActiveX Automation, Commander or command line integration. It does not support SAP IDoc or XML. There is no job logging or e-mailed error alerts and it cannot export printer code templates.
