Desktop Direct Thermal Printers

Direct thermal printers are used for printing temporary labels and tags. Instead of using a ribbon, direct thermal printers use direct heat to transfer an image to special facestock. Therefore, the supplies cost less, however, there is more wear on the print head and the printed image does not last as long, especially when exposed to sunlight.
