Label makers are compact labeling systems that use tape cartridges to create labels for a wide range of applications. Most of the labels are laminated as they come out of the label maker making them resistant to liquids, heat, cold, and abrasion. Label makers are available in handheld and desktop form factors. Most are portable and draw power from batteries or an AC adapter. Some can be connected to a PC and include label design software for more complicated designs. Label makers are commonly used for creating labels for cables, assets, filing systems, and warehouse stock bins.
