Hosted by SystemID—the nation’s leading value-added reseller of barcode scanners, printers, mobile computers, and labels—the yearly event was packed with product demos, breakout sessions on timely automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) topics, and product updates from leading manufacturers, including  gold and silver sponsors Zebra, Motorola, Wasp, Datalogic, Honeywell, and  Intermec. Greeting attendees on the brisk Friday morning was former Cowboys super star, Super Bowl MVP, and NFL Hall of Famer, Randy White, who warmly signed autographs for SystemID customers. Across the hall, the popular Product Showcase provided a perfect backdrop for hands-on demos of the industry’s latest barcode scanners, printers, and mobile computers. Labels and supplies were equally represented at the well-attended and lively tradeshow. Breakout sessions on RFID asset tracking, automation, and inventory control by sponsors InLogic, Flow Software, and Precision Warehouse gave customers in-depth knowledge about technology solutions that improve efficiency, streamline production, and automate processes. After the influx of information, attendees enjoyed a catered lunch before finding out who won the event giveaways. Lucky recipients included:
  • Steven Carpenter, Dunbar Products – Cowboys game tickets
  • Cynthia Rainey, Texas Department of Public Safety – Cowboys game tickets
  • Ricardo Sandoval, Alterri Distribution – iPad
  • Willy Woodberry, UT Southwestern – iPad

After the surprise at this turn of events wore off, everyone divided into groups of three for tours of the iconic home of the Dallas Cowboys—which was ending to a successful event. Plans are already underway for the 2013 training camp. Thanks to feedback from this year’s registrants and attendees, next year’s event promises to be even bigger and better!
