ID Tech Cordless Linear Imager Barcode Scanners
Cordless linear imager barcode scanners use an integrated radio to communicate with a base station or a computer. The most popular is Bluetooth with a range of up to 300', corded but a few models use an analog radio with frequencies ranging from 900 MHz to 2.4 GHz. If the base station is used for communication as well as charging, corded it will connect to a computer with a USB, corded PS/2 (keyboard wedge), corded or serial RS232 cable.
Cordless linear imager barcode scanners are better for reading damaged or poorly printed barcodes as well as barcodes under plastic film or covering. Linear imager barcode scanners are ideal for a variety of applications including retail, shipping, receiving, and inventory.
