Honeywell Announces Agreement to Acquire Hand Held Products

Honeywell announced it has signed an agreement to acquire privately-held Hand Held Products based in Skaneateles Falls, New York. Hand Held Products, a mobile and imaging innovator, manufacturers a range of data collection and communication products designed for mobile, on-site, and transaction processing for retail, transportation, logistics warehouse, healthcare and industry.

Hand Held Products will become a part of Honeywell's Security Group with the ACS (Automation and Control Solutions) business.

Hand Held Products' portfolio includes the Dolphin mobile computer series, the Quick Check verification series, a suite of corded and cordless handheld imagers, and transaction terminals and kiosks. Hand Held's industry-leading Adaptus Imaging Technology utilizes digital camera technology and sophisticated image processing software to deliver high-performance barcode scanning and digital image and signature capture.
