End-users invest a great deal of money and time in their employee credentials. These costs include software, enrollment, deployment, training, printing as well as the cost of the credential itself. AIR ID Playback is an economical no-software solution allowing users to apply their existing building access card to solving a variety of other identification needs throughout the organization. Use the strength of the contactless smart card for user authentication and apply the same card to lower costs associated with employee identification.
The Playback reader was designed to meet our customers' expectations as a truly multi-application solution. Data, keystrokes and characters are first written into the contactless smart using the AIR ID Writer desktop reader. Next, choose either the USB or RS232 Playback reader to deliver the data to the desired device or field within an application. The Playback reader is completely configurable on-the-fly. This allows users to change the location being read on the iCLASS card - allowing multiple user-centric data and log-on credentials to be readily accessed.
The AIR ID Playback USB reader interfaces to any existing software by allowing the user to playback data and keystrokes from the contactless card. The keystrokes serve to navigate the cursor to the correct field. Together, the keystrokes and the user data allow for seamless integration. All alphanumeric characters and keystrokes are supported. Use this for a log-on application, or replace unreliable magstripe data with a low cost contactless card! The AIR ID Playback RS232 reader in a similar manner interfaces to existing software, point-of-sale terminals and other equipment by allowing the user to playback data and RS232 characters from the contactless card.
This approach eliminates all costs associated with pilot tests, software licenses, upgrades, incompatibilities and other costly issues associated with software! Use the Playback reader for computer log-on, employee time/attendance, identification, magstripe emulation and more.
