Barcode Equipment Warranty Services
Since 1986, ID Direct has provided warranty service on barcoding equipment. Warranty service is an affordable way to ensure maximum uptime for your equipment. It includes preventative maintenance to extend the life of the equipment, repair and replacement services should a unit fail, and extensive technical support to troubleshoot problems as they happen. We offer warranty plans of varying lengths, and will cover both new and used products.
The ID Direct warranty service comes in two levels:
Gold Plan
The ID Direct Gold Plan is perfect for businesses with multiple units or backup units that can assume the tasks of failing equipment. If any malfunction should occur, ID Direct will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA), allowing you to send in your unit for repair. ID Direct will diagnose and repair the unit, and ship the unit free of charge once repairs are completed. The Gold Plan provides 3 to 5 day turnaround for any equipment failure. Tracking information will be provided for return shipment.
If you've recently purchased ID Direct service, you can fill out your contract details with our convenient Maintenance Agreement. Simply fill out the PDF file and return it to your System ID sales representative.
Platinum Plan
The ID Direct Platinum Plan is ideal for businesses that depend on constant levels of production, but do not have redundancy of equipment to cover shortages. If you experience a product failure, ID Direct will send a temporary replacement unit (of equal or higher quality) via overnight shipping. We will issue an RMA for the malfunctioning unit and return the product once repair is complete, usually within 3 to 5 days. Upon return of the repaired unit, another RMA will be issued for the temporary unit to be returned. All shipping costs are included in our Platinum Plans.

Preventative Maintenance
To prolong the life of your products, we offer preventative maintenance as part of both of these plans. Every six months we will:
- Replace all worn belt drives
- Inspect all wearable parts
- Clean print heads
- Calibrate and adjust settings (as necessary)
- Detail the product
